Dutch Queer Scene
and its Beauty

An ongoing photography project documenting the diverse and vibrant queer scene across the Netherlands. Shot in Rotterdam, Spijkenisse, Maastricht, Utrecht and Amsterdam, the images capture drag queens, kings, pups, and other communities that make up the Dutch queer world.

The project grew out of a collaboration with the city archive of Rotterdam, with a simple goal at its core: to give visibility to voices and faces that remain underrepresented in mainstream media. This is a snapshot of the work made so far. It is an ongoing archive still being built, one community at a time.
