I’m addicted to social media, Instagram reels in particular seem to have a hold on my attention. Many times I have tried to keep myself from doomscrolling my days away on these apps, without much success unfortunately. After trying to reduce my screen time I often fall back into my bad habits with the philosophy that everyone does it anyway. This mindset itself is problematic when you think about it. Why is it that such a large portion of people spend so much time online?
I started this project as a form of personal intervention. Using graphic design, my photography archieve and desk research I created a reminder to myself on why I shouldn't spend my life online. My hopes are that people who struggle with similar situations can gain awareness from this publication.
